Sunday 22nd June 2008 Just a short entry this week I'm afraid... Well the week started off with an interesting Father's Day lunch at The Botanist in Sloane Square. I won't go into detail as the review is coming. But let's just say it provided my foodie family with much to talk about.
The rest of the week was a blur. A few stop checks on the garden - I'm growing a little impatient for the potatoes. And a romantic dinner for two on Friday night at Roast is Borough Market. Can't really fault the food - but (again) you'll have to wait for the full feature review. This weekend has seen me manning my father's stand at Tast of London in Regent's Park. It was busy, busy, busy... about 16000 people on Saturday (not all on our stand obviously). It is extraordinary how a few free samples attracts people to a stand like flies. One or two canapes are a sample, five is just greedy.Wandering around the fair I picked up some interesting teas and some "Raw Chocolate"... more on those as i sample them. Two days of standing up, smiling and doing a little hard sell has taken it's toll on my poor weary legs - so I'm off for a hot bath. |
